Clay Images Excavated in Shibayama, the Tumulus Capital
𝄇A number of haniwa or clay images have been excavated from the tumuli dotted around Shibayama and the surrounding areas. The annual Shibayama Haniwa Festival in November is, derived from the fact, conducted with giving a royal welcome to the delegates from ancient times as its setting.
