Raccoon Dog in Bunbuku Chagama Legend
𝄇Morinji Temple in Tatebayashi has its private legend about a chagama or a kettle into which a raccoon dog, or a badger in another version of story, had turned itself and which had the exceptional feature that boiled water in it never ran out by dippings. Raccoon dog statues after that can be found at many places in the city area.
