Kiritanpo in Akita

 𝄇

'Tanpo-mochi', a traditional food made of rice steamed, mashed, skewered then lightly grilled, is regarded as northern Akita-origin, while its variation 'kiritanpo', which is just deskewered and cut into bite size pieces, has become much more recognized among people outside Akita.
