4 x 6 Toad in Mt. Tsukuba

 𝄇

Ointment for wounds made of distinct toad grease in the Mt. Tsukuba area, so it was usually announced, was a regular product sold by yashi or street hucksters in the Edo period. The 4 x 6 toad, from which some ingredients were extracted, mentioned in their (mostly uniformized) sales talks is named after the fact that typical toads in Japan have four-finger forelegs and five-toe hind legs which just look as if six-toe with bosses.
