Clay Figures with Heart-Shaped Faces, which have characteristic face forms as indicated by the name, were mainly excavated from Late Jomon ruins that are located in the northern Kanto and southern Tohoku regions. The one unearthed at the Gobara site has been designated as a national important cultural property.
